Dalton Carnes is a Division I wide receiver at the University of North Texas with experience competing at multiple programs, including Houston and North Texas. He is also active in golf, fishing, and hunting in his offseason.
At North Texas, he has been a versatile contributor, appearing in all 13 games in 2025. He recorded 7 receptions for 80 yards, highlighted by a 41-yard performance and a key special teams tackle on a fake punt attempt in a win over Charlotte. In 2024, Carnes appeared in all 13 games with eight starts, finishing the season with 29 receptions for 371 yards and 2 touchdowns, including standout performances against Wyoming, Tulsa, and Florida Atlantic.
Prior to UNT, Carnes spent two seasons at the University of Houston, where he appeared in 12 games with four starts in 2023. He totaled 20 receptions for 263 yards and a touchdown, with strong performances against ranked opponents including Texas Tech, Texas, and Oklahoma State. He earned a scholarship after originally joining as a walk-on and was named to the AAC All-Academic Team.
